I’m a computeroholic, a firm believer in telecommuting and a continual learner.
I owe my penchant for machine-based tinkering largely to Kishore who helped me make friends with a PC more than 20 years ago – later, it was wonderful to have him as a friend for life as well. Now we surprise friends/family by consolidating our marital bond sitting next to each other, peering into our respective screens, and sharing links and winks on the IM!
Our son Kabir demands his share of the screen and I ration it to him for his research for class projects and online games but in return I demand that he reads my blog, listens to audio books, completes online grammar exercises and understands the nuances of photo enhancement tools at least as much as I do. He doesn’t have it easy having me as a parent but I’ve enjoyed fussing over him over the years…
Before I acquired my married name, Bhargava, I was Jyoti Puri. I’ve two younger siblings — Uma and Navin. My parents live in Delhi and are fans of Tatasky as much as I’m a devotee of the Net. I live in Gurgaon and have a strong opinion on living my life here…some of which is expressed in my posts.
My interests have expanded over the years but traveling, online-offline reading, bird-watching, sketching-painting, checking out new food joints with Kishore and listening to Hindi film music of 60’s and 70’s have been stable for some years.
My current professional focus is human resources management…to understand work place challenges and offer solutions for overall efficacy. Being an avid Net user and online researcher, I’m also clued in on social networking for both business and pleasure.
