About
I’m a ‘computeroholic’ and a firm believer of telecommuting — I keep hoping that my interest in scanning the Net will land me with fantastic work options that would leave me glued to my screen. I’m also a dreamer but a fairly organised one – in the last 20+ years of my life, I’ve evolved various forms of checklists to help me avoid procrastinating on various counts!
I owe my interest in screen-based tinkering largely to Kishore who helped me make friends with a PC more than 20 years ago – later, it was wonderful to have him as a friend for life as well. And now we surprise friends/family by consolidating our marital bond sitting next to each other, peering into our respective screens, and sharing links and winks on the IM!
Our son Kabir demands his share of the screen and I ration it to him for his research for class projects and online games but in return I demand that he reads my blog and study tips on online resources, completes online grammar exercises and understands the nuances of photo enhancement tools and graphic designing as I understand them. He doesn’t have it easy having me as a parent but Kishore and I’ve enjoyed fussing over him over the years…
Before I acquired my married name, Bhargava, I was called Jyoti Puri. I’ve two younger siblings — Uma who lives in Baroda with her husband Sanjay and son Param, and Navin who works as a senior IT manager with a corporate and lives in Gurgaon with his wife Tanushri and sons Aniket and Parth. My parents live in Delhi and are addicted to Indian soaps.
My interests have changed over the years but traveling, online-offline reading, regular learning, bird-watching, sketching, checking out new food joints with Kishore and listening to Hindi film music of 60’s and 70’s have been quite stable for some years.
For the patient ones, I’ve another profile to read here.
